Installation Instructions for the Steel claw mount:

NOTE: THE CLAW MOUNT IS UNI-DIRECTIONAL.  THE NON- PIVOTING CLAW SHOULD ALIGN ON THE THUMB SIDE OF THE RIFLE AND THE PIVOTING CLAW SIDE SHOULD ALIGN ON THE EJECTION PORT SIDE

Press down on the release mechanism on the mid-section of the claw while at the same time moving the lever down towards the claw and then back up to its original locked position. This action will release the pivoting claw. Once you have completed this step make sure that the pivoting claw is now pointing down and away from the opposing fixed claw side.

Now align the fixed claw side of the mount first onto the thumb side of the rifle and then slide the pivoting claw side of the mount onto the ejection port side of the rifle.

After all the claws are aligned correctly then push the lever down and bring it back up again to the original locked position.  This action will clamp and lock the pivoting claw in place. Make sure not to depress the release mechanism while performing this step.

To remove the mount just depress the release mechanism, push the lever down and bring it back up to its locked position. This action will move the pivoting claw to the down position. Next slide the mount from the pivoting claw side to the fixed claw side to remove the mount.
